The service incorporates a fully integrated treatment programme involving: residential accommodation, group work, counselling, relapse prevention, housing resettlement and support, learning and work development, aftercare.

Advice and Counselling on Alcohol and Drugs (ACAD)

An independent charity with centres in Bristol and North Somerset. Assists anyone concerned about their own or someone else's drinking and other drug use. Anyone wishing to see someone can expect free and confidential advice, information and/or counselling from trained staff.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)  The site for "Alcoholics Anonymous" (AA). It contains contact details, information about the organisation, and their "12 steps to recovery" programme.

Bristol Drugs Project (BDP)

BDP is the main provider of free and confidential services in Bristol and offers help to drug users and anybody affected by drug use. Services include needle exchange and drop-in, counselling, group-work, family support, criminal justice work, housing support, shared care with GP surgeries and structured day care.

Bristol and District Tranquilliser Project

This project helps people who are involuntarily addicted to psychotropic drugs (eg. tranquillisers, sleeping pills and antidepressants) to gradually come off their medication. The project offers one-to-one counselling, withdrawal groups and a telephone helpline. Anyone can phone for assistance, no referral is needed.

CAAAD Project, The (Community Action Around Alcohol and Drugs)

Community-based drug and alcohol project specialising in easy-to-access harm reduction services for people concerned about their own or someone else's drug or alcohol use. Provides support, counselling, hepatitis service, complementary therapies and up-to-date information on drug and alcohol-related issues.

Nilaari Agency

Nilaari provides a high quality and culturally specific service which includes counselling, advice and support. It aims to educate and empower Black young people and adults who misuse or are at risk of misusing drugs and/or alcohol.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA) . The site for Narcotics Anonymous (NA). This organisation works similarly to Alcoholics Anonymous, encouraging you to join a local NA group to help you stop taking drugs. The site gives information about the organisation and details of local groups.
